2013 Mercedes SLS AMG GT
“Gullwing”. Say this word to a car guy and immediately the image of a silver Mercedes 300SL from the late fifties springs to his mind with the doors open. Gullwing doors, baby. In 2009 Mercedes announced the return of the Gullwing in the form of the SLS. Since then the car has been the peak of modern Mercedesdom. As expected, the 2013 SLS AMG GT will continue to fill the bill. Under the hood the SLS AMG GT is sports an AMG 6.3 liter V8 with four valves per cylinder and 11.3:1 compression heads. This translates to 583 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, propelling the GT from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to a mere 197mph. The GT is available as a coupe or convertible and is one of the most distinct high end cars of our day.
