2013 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE
The road race inspired Camaro 1LE is back for 2013 with special gearing, suspension tuning and tires that give it the ability to break the magical 1g lateral force acceleration mark. Available only on the six-speed equipped SS models running the 6.2L Ls3 V-8, this race handling package is pushing 426hp and 420lb-ft of torque from the factory. Add to the 3.91 gears, 20×10-inch aluminum wheels (black) sporting 285/35ZR20 Goodyear Eagle G:2 tires, and beefed up suspension, this car is ready for the track.
But Chevrolet says the car isn’t a performance-only beast. With features like variable-effort electric power steering, special suspension tuning and available dual-mode exhaust, the 1LE still retains the more civil characteristics and ride quality for daily driving. The 1LE is distinguished by it’s matte-black hood, front splitter, rear spoiler and black finish 10-spoke wheels. Chevrolet says all of this will be available under $40,000.
