WTF?? 22’s and veritcal doors on a Grand Marquis?
Somebody has more cash than good judgement. Apparently the Mercury Grand Marquis he inherited from grandma wasn’t fly enough. (Yeah, I said “fly”. It is after all a Grand Marquis from the 1990’s.) Apparently grandma’s old grocery-getter wasn’t fly enough so our man has put a set of 22’s and vertical doors on it. Now that’s definitely an attention-getter. If that poor car could only speak!
Not to anthropomorphize, but this poor car probably had a respectable life shuttling around some guy that retired from some big company after 25 years. After a decade of trips to the local church, the local supermarket, and the local Country Buffet, the old man passed away and sat in the garage until his widow passed away, too. Now this car ends up at the mercy of somebody with more money than taste. Talk about falling from grace.
There seems to be a rash of these old sedans being snapped up by young guys that I imagine must be high because they are putting 22’s on them and even painting them with some products graphics or, as our friend pictured above has done, making other costly modifications that just look ridiculous. Maybe it’s time for a movement to protect these cars from this kind of disgrace. Stop senior citizen car abuse!
